Sharp Shooter Supply won't answer my emails asking the same question. Hi Tech Tactical has a kit with the factory Savage parts you need to do the swap except a new stock, and they answered my emails within hours.

The new models (centerfeed)can be converted if I remember correctly. The old (staggered feed) models cannot. Check out Savageshooters.com! They have all the answers to your questions concerning Savages. Fred from SSS also posts there.

CDI Precision is working on a DBM for short action Savages that will allow the use of AICS mags. I believe the plan is a design that will work for both the old staggered and new centerfeed savage versions. A long action version will likely follow.

PDC Custom stocks are available for both staggered feed and center feed Savages, with AICS magazines. They have them for both short and long actions.

VBull out of Canada also makes a detach mag kit for the non-Centerfeed Short Action Savages. The kit runs about $365 or there abouts. The kit uses AI mags. I think the kit is made to order also. I don't think VBull keeps many on the shelf.

I had an extensive discussion with a senior Savage engineer on this very issue at S.H.O.T., then confirmed it sometime later via telephone.

Yes, Savage 10/110 series rifles can be converted from blind to DM to hinged floorplate versions with the replacement of the magazine parts in question (plus the stock of course).
